She resided in Pilot Point, Texas, and was a dedicated print shop operator in the education industry.Nina is survived by her three children: Tim Hammons, Ronnie Hammons, and Carolyn Shelton.Pallbearers will be Jeff Hammons, Brad Shelton, Greg Hammons, Jeremy Hammons, Brady Hammons, Drake Hammons, Reese Hammons, and Jason Burk.Funeral services for Nina Merle Hammons will be held on March 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Slay Memorial Funeral Centers. Visitation will take place on March 20, 2026, at 6:30 PM, also at Slay Memorial Funeral Centers. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Tyson Cemetery located at 127 Tyson Rd, Pilot Point, TX, 76258.Nina was preceded in death by: Cornelous Cockrill, Virginia Cockrill, James Hammons, Charle Cockrill, Mylus Cockrill, Nealus Cockrill, Sidney Cockrill, Maudene Hammons, Thelma Maughan, Nellie Hammons, Idell Odom, Fay Sullivan; and her son Bobby Hammons.The Hammons family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their support during this time.Arrangements are under the direction of Terri Slay and Slay Memorial Funeral Center.
