Nina Frances Sowiski, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, March 14, 2026.. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the deep love she shared with her family and all who knew her.

Nina was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 22, 1962. From an early age, she was known for her warm heart, determination, and unwavering devotion to those around her.

Throughout her life, Nina dedicated herself to her family. She found joy in spending time with loved ones, cooking and sharing meals, celebrating holidays, listening to music, and working with crafts and creating memories that will be cherished for generations. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and wisdom to those fortunate enough to know her.

Nina is survived by her mother, Remelle King; father, Julian Sowinski,; brother, Joe Sowinski and two daughters, Desirae Sowinski and Meshauna Sowinski.

Those who knew Nina will remember her for her gentle spirit, generous heart, and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy will live on in the lives she touched and the family she held so dear.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
