1979 — 2026

East Stroudsburg, PA

Nicole Denise Francis, 47, of East Stroudsburg, passed away peacefully at LVHN Hospice Home in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, on March 11, 2026. Born in Paterson, New Jersey, on February 6, 1979, to Ed and Deborah Williams, she was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished friend whose warmth, generosity, and quiet strength touched everyone around her.

Nicole grew up in Paterson and Hackensack, New Jersey, before moving to Monroe County, Pennsylvania, in 2003. She found her deepest joy in her family, especially her husband Homer and their twin sons, Ryan Ead and William Anthony. A dedicated supporter, she was a constant presence on the sidelines at their sporting events, fully engaged in the lives of those she loved. She also treasured time with her extended family and close circle of friends.

A proud graduate of JFK High School in Paterson, Nicole went on to earn an Associate degree from Gibbs College and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Strayer University. She built a successful career in information technology, advancing from Help Desk Specialist to IT Manager through determination and hard work. Her creative spirit found expression in gardening and crafting, and she approached life with thoughtful service and gentle grace.

Nicole met the love of her life, Homer Francis, on a blind date arranged by mutual friends. They married in May 2003 and welcomed their twin sons three years later, creating a home filled with purpose and pride. She was preceded in death by her father, Ed Williams, and by Abraham Markland, who became a beloved father figure to her and a grandfather to her sons. She is survived by her husband Homer; sons Ryan and William; mother Deborah Williams; mother-in-law Norma Francis; godmother Veronica Caldwell; sister Angela White; sister-in-law Opal Lindsay; brother-in-law Hugh Francis; and her many adored nieces and nephews. Her memory will live on through her dear friends Jennifer, Tracy, Charlene, Isabelle, Luz, and a wide circle of extended family and lifelong companions.
