Nicolas Verrecchio

Nicolas Verrecchio, known to all as Nic, of Philadelphia, passed away suddenly on March 9, 2026, at the age of 26.

He will be deeply missed by his loving parents, John and Dawn Verrecchio; his siblings, Christopher Allbrook (Mia), John Verrecchio, and Kaitlin Verrecchio; his grandmother, Ruth Allbrook; and his nieces and nephews, Oliver, Isla, and Louie, along with his extended family and many friends who loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his grandparents, John and Regina Verrecchio.

Born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia, Nic grew up playing ice hockey for his school and club teams. He attended Roman Catholic High School for two years before graduating from Archbishop Ryan in 2018. He joined the Philadelphia Police Department and proudly served the citizens of Philadelphia in the 18th District. During his career, Nic received several awards and commendations and was loved and respected by his fellow officers. He was also a proud member of Bullets LEMC, where he enjoyed supporting and honoring his brothers and sisters in law enforcement, veterans, and all first responders. Nic loved riding his motorcycle, traveling with friends, golfing, and spending time with those he held closest.
