Nick G. Pinto, 84, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away on March 12, 2026.Nick was born on August 31, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois. He was the beloved husband of Antoinette (Toni) Salvato-Pinto, with whom he shared a loving marriage for over 30 years. They were united in marriage on December 12, 1995.He was the son of the late Nick and Jennie Pinto, and father to Krista (Mike) Diffenderffer and Christine DeAnda and grandfather to Robert and Samantha DeAnda. He was a brother to the late John and Annette Pinto, Harold Pinto and his late wife, Marilyn, the late Delores and Gus Antzoulatos and the late Darry Pinto and his wife Roseann. Nick was also a son-in-law of the late Sam and Frances Salvato, and a brother-in-law to Rosanne and the late Kenneth Radicke.A fond uncle and great-uncle, Nick touched the lives of many and was a cherished and loved friend to all who knew him.Nick dedicated over 50 years to his career as an electrician in Chicago, where he was a proud member of IBEW Local 134. In his earlier years, he also brought joy to countless people as a member of the Vagabond Clown Club, spreading laughter, cheer, and smiles wherever he went.An avid hot rod enthusiast, Nick was especially proud of his 1940 Ford, which earned the prestigious honor of being named a Great 8 Finalist.In recent years, Nick found motivation, great joy, friendship and love at his happy place, ActivAge, a daytime senior care community in Sarasota. There, he formed meaningful friendships and discovered new sources of happiness and inspiration.In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to ActivAge Daytime Senior Care of Sarasota in Nick's memory.Visitation will be Monday, March 23, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 West Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL 60706. Nick will be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Christ the King Mausoleum.
