Nicholas Davis ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Wilson's Funeral Directors & Cemetery on Mar. 16, 2026.Nicholas "Nick" Keith Davis, 26, of Lubbock, Texas, was born November 8, 1999, in Orange Park, Florida.Nick was the kind of person who could light up a room the moment he walked into it. His humor, outgoing personality, and ability to talk with just about anyone made him unforgettable to those who met him. Nick loved to laugh and loved even more making others laugh. One of his favorite teasing lines was "Smell my finger," a joke his family and friends knew well and one that perfectly captured his playful spirit.Nick lived life boldly and to the fullest. He had a wild, adventurous side and was always chasing the next adrenaline rush. Whether he was fishing, camping, or enjoying the outdoors, Nick brought energy and excitement wherever he went. He loved cooking, singing karaoke, and striking up conversations with anyone willing to listen.Nick had a true passion for his work as an arborist. He loved being outdoors and climbing trees-often the tallest ones he could find. It wasn't unusual for friends and family to receive videos from high above the ground, showing the incredible heights he had climbed that day. For Nick, the job wasn't just work; it was another way to embrace adventure and the outdoors he loved.More than anything, Nick loved his family. As an uncle, he was simply the best. All of the kids adored their Uncle Nick and always looked forward to spending time with him. He was the proud "funcle," always ready to light fireworks, laugh, and make sure everyone around him was having a good time.Nick was also someone people could count on. If someone needed help, he was always ready and willing to step in, even when it was inconvenient for him. His generosity and willingness to help others were defining parts of who he was.Nick met the love of his life, Destynee Hogue, while working at Hobby Lobby. Their relationship quickly grew into a deep bond, and the two were recently engaged. They were eagerly looking forward to beginning their life together and had planned their wedding for May 23, 2026.Nick went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 15, 2026. Waiting to welcome him in Heaven was his father, Randall Lewis Davis. Their reunion brings comfort to those who know how deeply they loved one another. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Pamela Serna and her husband, Pete Serna; his fiancée, Destynee Hogue; his siblings, Randall Davis and fiancée Charisse, Hannah Davis, and Chris Davis; his six nieces and nephews, Jamie, Bjorn, Tate, Amyah, Ellianne, and Ivy; as well as his beloved pets, Layla and Iris.Nick will be remembered for his laughter, his fearless spirit, and the joy he brought to the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.Services are pendingTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
