Nicholas J. Bagnato, Sr.

Nicholas Joseph Bagnato, Sr., age 70, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away suddenly on March 10, 2026.Nick was born on October 21, 1955, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He spent much of his life inwestern Pennsylvania, where he built a reputation as a hardworking and dependable man whoalways took pride in taking care of his family and the things around him.He worked for several companies throughout his life, including Glenshaw Glass, The Children'sInstitute, and Daily's Juice Products. No matter where he worked, Nick was known for showingup, getting the job done, and helping others whenever he could.Nick enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles and had a natural ability to fix almost anythingthat needed repair. In his free time, he liked shooting pool at the Owl's Club and spending timewith the people he cared about.Most people will remember Nick as an honest, hardworking, and creative man. He had apractical mind, a strong work ethic, and a way of figuring things out when something broke orneeded attention. Above all, he was a loving father and grandfather.He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Bagnato. He is survived by his children: Michael,Randy, Nicholas Jr., and John; his grandchildren, Mia, Mallory, Angelo, Katrina, Kelsey, andIzabella; and his great-grandchild, Millie. He is also survived by his brother Frank and hisseveral nieces and nephews.Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life that will be held at Slater Funeral& Cremation Services, Inc. Sharpsburg, 820 Main Street, Sharpsburg, PA 15215, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Thursday, March 19th, 2026.Nick will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone who had the chance to knowhim. His memory will live on in the lives he helped, the things he built and fixed, and the familyhe loved.
