Nic Donegan

Nicholas Ryan Donegan, 27, of Grenada, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Born on December 27, 1998, in Grenada, he was a graduate of Tupelo High School, where he played on the lacrosse team. Nicholas was a talented photographer who traveled across the country capturing images of trains and railroad memorabilia. A true foodie, he delighted in trying new restaurants and sampling recipes prepared by friends and family. He also found enjoyment in playing video games and the friendships he formed through that community.

He was happiest surrounded by those he loved and found peace in the outdoors, especially during cherished family trips to the beaches of Destin.

Nicholas is survived by his mother, Erin Patridge of Grenada; his father, Chris Donegan (Ursula) of Tupelo; his sister, Lydie Barefoot of Grenada; his brother, Lucas Donegan of Tupelo; his grandparents, Bruce Abel and Ann Patridge of Grenada and Danny and Glenda (Lucy) Brewington of Tupelo; aunts Morgan Hobson, McNeill England, Layne Bailey, and Jessica Bailey; uncles William Hobson and Sean Donegan; and his dear special friend, Nevaeh Furman of Birmingham, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Vicki Bloodworth, Rick Donegan, and Connie Jernigan; great-grandparents Bruce E. and Ann Patridge and Bill and Lois Owen; and his aunt Sarah Jernigan.
