Neville Stewart ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Loudoun Funeral Chapel on Mar. 8, 2026.Neville Letitia Stewart, affectionately known as "Tish,"was born on January 3, 1945, to the late Neville LindaJackson and Clarence Leroy Cox at Winchester MemorialHospital in Winchester, Virginia.In her early years, she attended Douglas High School inLeesburg, Virginia. At a young age, she accepted Christ asher Lord and Savior at Grace Annex in Purcellville,Virginia. Her faith remained a guiding light throughouther life. She later became a faithful and devoted memberof Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Aldie, Virginia.On March 10, 1966, she was united in holy matrimony tothe love of her life, James Milton Stewart Jr. Their unionwas one filled with love, faith, and devotion. Togetherthey raised two beautiful daughters, Denice "Necie" Longand Renae Stewart.Neville had a deep love for gospel music and used hervoice to uplift and inspire others. She served as the leadsinger of the James Stewart Faith Gospel Singers, oftentraveling alongside her husband, Jimmy, to variouschurches and singing engagements throughout theNorthern Virginia area. Through song, she shared her faithand brought joy to many.Neville was also known for her elegant sense of style,particularly her love for church hats and floralarrangements. She took great pride in designing manyunique and beautiful hats, which she proudly wore whiledressed in her Sunday best.Neville was preceded in death by her loving parents, herdevoted husband, James Milton Stewart Jr., and herbeloved eldest daughter, Denice "Necie" Long.She leaves to cherish her precious memories two lovingsisters, Geraldine Thigpen of Columbus, Georgia, andShirley Cox of Herndon, Virginia; one devoted daughter,Renae Stewart (Theron) of Sterling, Virginia; fourcherished grandchildren, Myisha Keeler (Aaron) ofMartinsburg, West Virginia, Derek Wines of Martinsburg,West Virginia, Ashley Henson of Winchester, Virginia,and Brandon Fontz-Wines (Thayne) of Dundalk,Maryland; and ten adored great-grandchildren: Niah,Natalie, Niylah, William, Rocco, Taylor, Serenity, Sidney,Demari, and Dekai.She also leaves one niece, Charmaine Thigpen; a great-niece,De'Anna; a great-nephew, Tre'Von ; A loving sister in law, Mary Elizabeth Stewart of Aldie, Virginia a host ofextended family members and dear friends who willforever treasure her memory.The family would also like to extend specialacknowledgment to her close and cherished friends: AnnaLee Randolph, Mary Yates, and Shirley Hughes, whosefriendship meant so much to her.Though she is no longer with us, Neville's love, faith, andbeautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knewand loved her.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
