Nettie Sue Hamilton

June 30, 1956 March 15, 2026

Jackson, TN

Nettie Sue Barrett Hamilton was born on June 30, 1956, in Haiti, Missouri, and passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, in Jackson, Tennessee. She lived a life defined by warmth, compassion, and a deep devotion to family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness that will remain with all who knew her.

Nettie was a vibrant soul who loved to talk and connect with everyone she met. Her conversations, filled with genuine care and kind words, brought comfort and enrichment to those around her. She possessed a natural gift for nurturing and caregiving, always attentive to others, especially when they were ill or recovering in the hospital. Music brought her great joy, from classic rock to country, and she delighted in dining out with loved ones, particularly at Grecian’s Steakhouse in Dyersburg.

Above all, Nettie embraced her role as family matriarch with pride and love. A wonderful cook whose meals were always delicious, she poured her creativity and care into everything she made for her family. She cherished her grandbabies and took immense pride in each of them.

She is survived by her loving husband of over two years, Brian Charles Hamilton; her sons, Jerry Paul Climer and his wife Monica, and Anthony Climer and his wife Nena; her stepson, Brian Charles Hamilton, Jr.; and her sisters, Linda Faye Wilson, Juanita Volner, Marilyn Jean King, and Theresa Davis. Her seven grandchildren—Jonathan and Joey Climer, Heather Thompson, Dylan Snow, Caitlin Climer, Haley Mosley, and Phoebe Climer—and three great-grandchildren, Adalynn Noel, Olivia Climer, and Myla Mosley, brought her endless joy. She also shared a special bond with her closest confidante and best friend, Jana Lea. She was preceded in death by her father, William Barrett; her mother, Bernice Faulkner Barrett; the father of her children, Jerry Climer; her brothers, William Barrett, Danny Ray Barrett, and Melvin Faulkner Jr.; her sister, Glenda May Eastwood; and her devoted stepfather, Melvin Faulkner.
