Nelson Morales-Rivera
West Palm Beach, FL
Nelson Morales-Rivera, 79, passed away on March 9, 2026, in West Palm Beach, Florida. Born on December 14, 1946, in Santurce, Puerto Rico, to Eduardo Morales and Fidela Ortiz, he joined the Air Force in 1963 and served four years at Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, Maine. He later married Lyana Morales, and together they raised two children, Venessa M. Ranney and Daniel Morales.
Nelson was an extraordinarily kind and patient man whose warm voice carried wisdom and calm in every conversation. These qualities served him well in his career, where he rose from service worker to vice president of sales for Café Bustelo’s New York division. Yet material success never defined him. What mattered most was gathering with family, listening to the music of his youth, and simply being present with those he loved.
He is survived by his wife Lyana, his son Daniel, his daughter Venessa, and three grandchildren. He is also remembered by many brothers and sisters, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
