Nellie Weller ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Fries Funeral Home, Inc. on Mar. 17, 2026.Nellie Bowman (Baker) Weller, 92, of Mercersburg, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026 inChambersburg, PA.Born September 21, 1933 in Meyersdale, PA, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and MargaretTressler Bowman.Nellie is survived by two sons, Dennis (Joyce) Baker, Allen "Chip" (Karen) Baker, a daughter,Robyn Baker Showalter, and grandchildren: Michael (Beth) Baker, Mark (Leigh) Baker, Joe(Martha) Showalter, Andrea Baker, Melissa (Brian) Pappalardi, and Kelly (Matt) Casey. Survivinggreat-grandchildren include, Brook (Anthony) Panuccio, Brady Baker, Brennan Baker, JackWimer, Katelyn Pappalardi, Hannah Pappalardi, Stella Baker, Emma Casey, Alexis Casey, MeganShowalter, Nathan Showalter and her sister, Edna Bowman. Also survived by step-children,Janice (Patrick) Burns, Edward (Linda) Weller, Darlene (Bill) Landis and their families.Nellie was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Baker of Garrett, PA, her secondhusband Nelson Weller, of Mercersburg, PA, her sister Anna Lohr and her son-in-law RickShowalter.Nellie was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who liked to knit and crochet.She enjoyed reading and going out to eat and shopping.
