Neil A. Thill

Port Washington, WI

Neil A. Thill, age 81, of Port Washington, Wisconsin, passed away on March 10, 2026. Born on June 23, 1944, in Port Washington to Clarence and Rose (née Remich) Thill, Neil graduated from Port Washington High School before serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He later attended MATC and became a journeyman mechanic. In 1969, he married Judith Augustin, and together they raised three children. Family was the center of Neil’s world, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

A man of many talents, Neil worked in home building, lawn and garden assembly, as a maintenance mechanic, truck driver, and at the contractor desk at Home Depot. He was known for his endless supply of stories, especially those recounting his hunting and fishing adventures, travels with Judy, and their shared love of the outdoors. Neil tended his garden with care, often growing fruit for the homemade wine he crafted for many years. In retirement, he found joy in his workshop, creating wooden planes, trains, automobiles, toys, and birdhouses. He and Judy spent their winters in Arizona, where they enjoyed hiking and time with friends.

Neil is survived by his loving wife, Judy; his children, Tammy Thill, Timothy (Tracy) Thill, and Tracy Neitzer; grandchildren Allison (Justin) Hermann, Peyton Thill, Ally Thill, Jared Neitzer, and Azril (Hailey) Neitzer; and great-grandchildren Finn and Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Rose Thill, and his sister, Diane Miller.
