Nathan was born on May 14, 1940, in DeLand, Florida, to Mary and Hobson Hunter.Nathan was a proud graduate of DeLand High School and went on to build a long and dedicated career in new construction with Volusia County, where he worked for many years before retiring. Known for his strong work ethic and quiet strength, Nathan took great pride in the work he did for his community.He shared 67 loving years of marriage with his devoted wife, Patricia Hunter. Together they built a beautiful life centered around family, faith, and hard work.Nathan is survived by his wife, Patricia Hunter; his children, Mike Hunter (Annie), Terri Gagnon (Ken), and Cathy Hunter; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren, all of whom were the pride and joy of his life.He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Hobson Hunter, and his six brothers and sisters.Nathan had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, watching stock car racing, woodworking, tending to his garden, and most of all spending time with his family.
