Naomi Irene Coats

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Naomi Irene Coats of Fort Wayne, Indiana, who passed away on March 5, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Teddy Pippenger and Carnie Pippenger (Herron); and her siblings, Dan Pippenger, David Pippenger, Ester Anderson, Phillip Pippenger, Paul Pippenger and Dorcas Pressler.

She is survived by: her husband Paul D. Coats; her children, Debra Guy, Craig Coats (Robin), Tim Coats (Beth) and Jeremy Coats; and her siblings, Ted Pippenger, Ruth Pressler (Gene) and James Pippenger (Carolyn). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sheets and Childs Funeral Home (206 N Main St, Churubusco, IN 46723). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sheets and Childs Funeral Home (16830 Lima Rd, Huntertown, IN 46748).
