Nannie Mae Hollingsworth Johnson, 89, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026. Born on February 25, 1937, in Adamsville, Tennessee, to Nannie Barham Hollingsworth and Jim Hollingsworth, she was a woman whose life was deeply rooted in faith, family, and quiet devotion.

She married Osker Dale “Bud” Johnson on December 7, 1954, in Fulton, Mississippi. Together they built a home and raised four children: Tommy, Timothy, Tammy, and Toni. A longtime and faithful member of the First Assembly of God Church in Portageville, Missouri, Nannie Mae was remembered for her warm heart, steadfast faith, and the steady love she showed her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Johnson, in 2009, her sons Tommy Johnson and Timothy Johnson, grandchildren Terri Sue Hollingshead and Nick Whitley, her sisters Ina Hollingsworth Lambert, Dorothy Hollingsworth, and Ima Jean Petit, and her brother Tommy Hollingsworth.

Nannie Mae is survived by her daughters Tammy (Sam) Powell and Toni D. Johnson of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; her brother Neely Hollingsworth of Eads, Tennessee; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. Her legacy of love and faith will continue through all of them.
