Nancy Ruth King Pepper, 82, of Tatum, Texas, passed away on March 11, 2026, in Longview, Texas. Born on May 10, 1943, in Gilmer, Texas, to Evaughn Morris and Bob King, she was raised and educated in Gilmer, graduating from Harmony Hill schools. Nancy worked in the pulp yard and in custodial services for Beckville Independent School District. A cancer survivor, she found her greatest joy in her family and cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother John Morris, her grandson Jake Loftis, and her great-great-grandson Colsen Wimberley.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Jessie Pepper; her children, Mark and Pam Loftis, Kelly and Tracy Acker, and Tracy and Brenda Loftis; her stepsons, Little Jessie Pepper and Edward Pepper; her sister, Bobbie Moore; grandchildren Hank and Kayla Wimberley, Justin Wimberley, Lacy Acker, Brooke and Leighton Webster, Dillon Loftis, Shelby Pepper, Kura Pepper, and Hannah and Jeramiah Pepper; great-grandchildren Jayden Wimberley, Braden Wimberley, Macy and Lane Acker, Olive Bynum, Nash and Quinnie Wimberley, Fox, Launa Pepper, Jaxson, Makayla, Dean Pepper, Madelyn Loftis, Harper, and Holden Webster; great-great-grandchild Hadlee Wimberley; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
