On March 13, 2026, Nancy, 93, entered into a peaceful rest in her home surrounded by family.

Born in Cleveland to the late Raymond and Marie Bacon Roberson. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Pleas McClure, brothers Jimmy and Glenn, and sister Sara Evelyn.

She graduated from Mary Hardin-Baylor and received a master's degree from the University of Mississippi. She worked for five years in the catalog and credit department at JCPenney. For a few years, she was owner of Karen's Hallmark in Dalton From August 11, 1987, to June 30, 2015, she was also co-owner of Sara's Hallmark in Cleveland

She was of the Presbyterian faith. An avid knitter and bird enthusiast, Nancy enjoyed time outside with her flowers.

She is survived by her beloved daughter Sara McClure, nieces Regina (Rick) Smith, Becky (Johnny) Hughes, great niece Elizabeth Hughes, great nephews Christopher (Lindsey) Hughes, and Will (Chelsey) Smith, and other extended family. Along with special friends Catherine Patten and Debbie Goodner and other friendly neighbors.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Chattanooga for their care and compassion.
