Nancy M. Riihiluoma

Nancy M. Riihiluoma, 83, of Virginia, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on March 8, 2026. Born in 1943 in Cloquet, Minnesota, to Paul and Eleanor Sireen, she married her high school sweetheart, Norman Riihiluoma, in 1960. The couple shared nearly 61 years of marriage until Norman’s passing in 2021. A longtime resident of Lake Vermilion and Kugler Township, Nancy lived with a gentle, tender-hearted spirit, quietly living out her Christian faith with humility and calm assurance.

She is survived by her daughters, Tiina (Lyle) Eidelbes and Lizana Riihiluoma, and her sons, Paul (Lisa) Riihiluoma and Charles (Kirstie) Riihiluoma. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren—Zach and Erinn Eidelbes; Derik Bjorgo, Bret Lunsford, Brittany Hochstetler, Jayden Riihiluoma; Ellie Meader and Isaac Riihiluoma; Seth, Ashley, and Jake Riihiluoma; and Dylan Strong—as well as many great-grandchildren.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Norman, her parents, sister-in-law Marilyn, brother-in-law Ray, granddaughter Amanda Riihiluoma, grandson Robb Eidelbes, and numerous aunts and uncles. She will be remembered as a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose quiet strength and caring presence touched everyone in her family. A private family service will be held at a later date.
