Nancy Lombardo

Nancy Lombardo (née Maltese), 81, of Galloway, New Jersey, passed away on March 7, 2026 after a long illness. She was the loving mother of Joseph Lombardo, whom she adored. She was the beloved aunt of the late Selena Piazza Giuliano, the late Nancy Grasso, and John Piazza, Jr. Nancy was predeceased by her sisters Marie Piazza and Jeannie Montenes, and by her parents, John and Nancy Maltese. She is survived by her loving, long-term partner, Bob Trapani.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Nancy was a strong, self-driven woman with a big heart. She took great joy in sharing stories of her childhood, often filling rooms with heartfelt laughter. An exceptional Italian cook, she was especially proud of her meatballs. She enjoyed a successful career as a real estate agent and office manager for Rand Realty before retiring and moving to South Jersey, where she purchased and beautifully renovated a home she cherished.

A devoted sports fan, Nancy rooted passionately for the Mets, Jets, and Nets, holding Jets season tickets for 50 years and treasuring the games she attended with her son, Joseph. She shared many happy years with Bob, enjoying dinners out, trips to Atlantic City, and entertaining family and friends. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
