Nancy Lee Breault

Nancy Lee (Jacques) Breault, 72, of Plainfield, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Putnam, Connecticut, Nancy was the daughter of the late Richard Allen Jacques and Doris Irene (Martel) Jacques. A proud graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University, she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees there. She devoted nearly three decades to teaching, guiding and inspiring students from 1985 until her retirement in 2014. Her warmth, humor, and steady encouragement left a lasting impression on generations of young people and her fellow educators.

Nancy embraced life with color and joy. She had a special fondness for the color yellow and anything lemon, cherished long lunches with friends, and found great pleasure in golf and travel. She explored the world alongside those she loved most and built deep, enduring friendships that became a vital part of her chosen family.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Joseph R. Breault; her son, Matthew J. Breault, and his wife, Meredith L. Breault; her sisters, Joyce Baker and Doreen Champagne; her sister-in-law, Sue; and many nieces and nephews. Nancy leaves behind a wide circle of close friends who were like family to her. She will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, her adventurous spirit, and the countless lives she touched both inside and outside the classroom.
