Nancy Lambeth Hutchens

Nancy Lambeth Hutchens, 95, of Archdale, passed away on March 6, 2026, at Clapp's Nursing Center in Asheboro.

Born on January 26, 1931, in Trinity, she was the daughter of Roy F. Lambeth and Kate Brown Lambeth. Nancy lived most of her life in the Trinity and Archdale areas. She graduated from Trinity High School in 1949, where she played basketball and served as a cheerleader for four years. She later graduated from Jones Business College. Nancy retired from Emerywood Country Club in 1992 and worked as manager of the D'Kei Total Trim Shoppe from 1996 to 2008.

A faithful member of Archdale Friends Meeting and the John Archdale Sunday School Class, she served on Ministry and Counsel, Stewardship, Creative Aging, and Care Ministers. She attended the Quaker Ladies Bible Study and sang in the choir for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Dale Van Hutchens; her brother, R. Fred Lambeth; and her sister, Wanda L. Clodfelter. Nancy is survived by her sons, William Eugene "Gene" Hutchens of Trinity and Mark Alan Hutchens (Tess) of Pleasant Garden; her daughter-in-law, Lynn Sparks Hutchens of Greensboro; her grandchildren, Gina Hutchens Jones of Greensboro, Kelly Hutchens Paine (Rob) of Philadelphia, Britt Hutchens (Layce) of Pittsburgh, and Heather Hutchens Crump of Greensboro; her step-grandchildren, Kristin Radebaugh of Greensboro and Robbie Winters of Gibsonville; thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
