Nancy L Fruetel

Nancy Lynn Fruetel, age 77 of Apple Valley, Minnesota, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born on September 3, 1948 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, to Thomas and Betty (Bateman) Gooch, Nancy graduated from high school and began her career as a stenographer for the Minnesota Highway Department from 1966 to 1970. On February 14, 1970, she married Gary Fruetel at Hayden Heights Baptist Church in St. Paul. Together they built a loving home and raised their family.

Nancy was known for her warm hospitality, grace, deep faithfulness to God, artistic talents, loyalty, and fierce devotion to her family. She found great joy in making collectible teddy bears, cross-stitching, gardening, drawing, and playing the piano, often sharing these gifts with those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Trent, and her brother Craig Gooch. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Gary; sons Troy (Sherry) and Todd (Kim) Fruetel; daughter-in-law Elizabeth Fruetel; grandchildren Jeffrey (Abby), Scott (Becca), Andrew (Patricia), David (Cassie), Michael (Gabrielle), Joshua (Emma), Daniel (Hannah), Nathaniel (Anna), Esther, and Jonathan; great-grandchildren Henry, Harrison, Cohen, Grace, and Jovie; brothers Tom (Polly) and Randy (Connie) Gooch; sister-in-law Sandy Gooch; and many other family members and friends.
