Nancy L. Bicard

May 7, 1940 March 11, 2026

Buchanan, MI

Nancy L. Bicard, 85, of Buchanan, passed away on March 11, 2026, at Buchanan Meadows Senior Living in Buchanan.

Born on May 7, 1940, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Anton and Helen Carson, Nancy graduated from New Buffalo High School. On November 1, 1957, she married Dewey Bicard in Three Oaks, Michigan. She worked for several years at Sextons Furniture & Appliance Store and S & S Supermarket before becoming manager of Mill Pond Apartments, a position she held for many years and greatly enjoyed. Above all, Nancy’s life was defined by her deep Christian faith and her commitment to serving others.

A longtime and faithful member of Buchanan Christian Church, Nancy lived her faith through quiet, consistent service. She volunteered at church camp each summer, participated actively in church groups, and regularly visited homebound friends and congregation members, bringing them communion and companionship. She also found special purpose in her repeated volunteer work at Woodburn Christian Children’s Home near Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she returned often to care for children in need.

Nancy is survived by her sons, Randy (Kim) Bicard of Buchanan and Rod (Angie) Bicard of Decatur, Alabama; grandchildren David (Yanni) Bicard, Nicole Bicard, Kaitlyn (Matt) Waltz, Bobbie Billingsley, Kasey Kelley, Tyler (Estonia) Rivers, Peighton Bicard, and dear friend Rhonda Neal. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Helen Carson; her husband of 49 years, Dewey Bicard; daughters Renee Bicard and Rhonda (Bicard) Billingsley; granddaughter Heather; and brothers Tony and Richard Carson.
