Nancy Burgoyne ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Gateway Funeral & Cremation Center - Saint Louis on Mar. 10, 2026.Nancy Ellen Burgoyne, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on March 9, 2026, in Edwardsville, Illinois.Nancy was born on December 29, 1942, to Harry and Marie Steelman and grew up in Dorsey, Illinois. She graduated from Edwardsville High School and enjoyed attending class reunions and spending time with her friends. Nancy was previously married to Dewey Burgoyne, and together they had a daughter, Stacey Guyot.Nancy worked for many years at Beall Manufacturing in East Alton, Illinois, before retiring. In her retirement, she loved living in Edwardsville and especially cherished her neighborhood. She enjoyed walking to Leclaire Park, shopping at Market Basket, and stopping by Annie's Frozen Custard. She loved cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, both from the stands and from home on television. She especially loved spending time with her great-grandchildren, Rowan and Anali, and visiting with extended family and friends. She will be remembered for her love of family and the joy she found in life's simple pleasures.Nancy is survived by her daughter, Stacey Guyot; two granddaughters, Nicole (Vishal) Goswami and Danielle (Shengjie) Kinnison; two great-grandchildren, Rowan and Anali Goswami; two sisters, Linda Hermsmeyer and Marie "Missy" Guillot; and many beloved nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Bill and Eddie; and her sister, Mary.The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
