Nancy Eileen Carey

Nancy Eileen Carey, née Trojanoski, passed away on March 7, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on February 16, 1950, in Jacksonville, Florida, she was the daughter of Warren Trojanoski, Sr., and Patricia Gammage Trojanoski.

A 1968 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville, Nancy went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and a Master’s degree from the University of Texas. She devoted more than thirty years to public elementary education, touching the lives of countless students through her dedication and care.

Nancy lived an active and adventurous life. She loved traveling, the outdoors, water skiing, and playing softball. She also embraced more daring pursuits, including skydiving from helicopters and cow wrangling. Above all, she is remembered for her deep love of family, her commitment to the children she taught, and her abiding affection for animals.

She is survived by her sisters Carol Brown and Judy Brazile (Larry), her brother Warren “Bud” Trojanoski, Jr., and many other loving family members, friends, and associates.
