LIMA -- It is with heavy hearts that we announce Nancy Jean Davidson, age 75, passed away on March 14, 2026, at 6:56 pm, at Ohio State University-Wexner Medical Center. Nancy was born on April 6, 1950, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Charles W. and Mary A. (Fickle) Lawson. Nancy was a 1968 graduate of Shawnee High School. In 1972, she graduated from Eastern Illinois University with her bachelor's degree. In 2014, she retired from Marimor Industries, where she worked as a habilitation specialist. Nancy enjoyed scrapbooking, crafts, watching the Cincinnati Reds, cheering on the Shawnee basketball team, camping and boating at Indian Lake, and watching her grandkids at their sporting events. She was an animal lover who adored her dogs. Above all, she loved her family. She is survived by her daughter, Carrie Sargent; her son, Matt Davidson; her grandchildren: Monica Cox, Nathaniel (Makenzie) Fletcher, Charles Matthew (Emelia) Sargent, Brooklynn Sargent, Mia Davidson, and Emma Davidson, and her great-grandchildren: Cambryn, Elkan, Lorenzo, Lula, Nyla, Darci, Daisy, and Maya. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard A. (Kathy) Lawson. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Shawnee Chapel. Pastor William Turner to officiate the service. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Shawnee Chapel.
