Nancy Carol (Urbanik) King

Nancy Carol (Urbanik) King, 80, of Cromwell, passed away on March 4, 2026, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in New London. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Adele (Wojtusiak) Urbanik. Nancy lived her entire life in Cromwell. She graduated from Cromwell High School with the Class of 1963 and later earned her degree from the University of Hartford.

Nancy devoted forty-six years to teaching at Edna C. Stevens School in Cromwell, where her commitment and kindness touched generations of students. A longtime member of Saint John Church, she found joy in her faith and in traveling, especially her cherished trips to Florida. Those who knew her will remember her gentle spirit and the quiet dedication she brought to her family, her students, and her community.

She is survived by her son, Douglas King; a niece; a nephew; and many cousins. In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her brother, Carl Urbanik.
