Nancy C. Legler

Nancy Celeste Burke Legler was born on December 5, 1952 and passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026 in her cherished Lake Waubesa home in McFarland, Wisconsin. Nancy was seventy-three years old. Her husband of fifty years, Randall Wayne Legler, was by her side.

Survived by her husband Randy; three sons Barry (Jena), Scott, and Brian (Kelley); three beloved grandchildren Jackson, Bailey, and Joleigh; and siblings Thomas [Megan], and Judith Gerls [Mark]. Preceded in death by her infant son Joel; her parents James E. and Therese (Paruzynski) Burke; and in-laws Wayne M. and Marjorie J. (Drunasky) Legler.

Nancy loved life and her family. Everyone that knew her saw how much she adored her children and grandchildren. Born and raised in the Milwaukee area, Nancy met Randy during their college years at the University Wisconsin-Whitewater. They married, and they built a life in the Madison area. They resided in Sun Prairie and frequently visited their beautiful cabin up north on Long Lake while raising their three boys. Nancy retired after over thirty years from Kraft Oscar-Mayer, and she and Randy then moved to their Lake Waubesa condo in 2019. Sunshine, lake-views, Packers, Bucks, Badgers, Brewers, and Elvis music videos were a constant until the very end.

Nancy was a beloved wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt, godmother, cousin, and friend who will be missed by all.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in support of a charity of your choosing.
