Nancy Alice Burton

Nancy Alice Burton, age 71, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026. Born in Rochester, Minnesota, on April 30, 1954, she was the daughter of Louis and Marilyn (Lambert) Nichols.

Nancy spent most of her career in the commercial insurance industry, working in quality assurance. After many dedicated years, she retired about a decade ago. In retirement, she found great joy in gardening, sewing, baking, and cooking, particularly preparing dishes inspired by Italian and French cuisine. She loved hosting friends and family for her fish fries, which she playfully referred to as “fried crap.”

A talented seamstress, Nancy created countless Halloween costumes, prom dresses, and quilts. On weekends she could often be found at her pop-up market behind Southern Brewing & Winery in Tampa, selling plants, decoupage pots, handcrafted aprons, pillows, and many other items she made with care.

Nancy was a loving mother, stepmother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
