Nadia Haeik

Nadia Haeik, beloved sister, aunt, and cherished member of her community, passed away on March 11, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on February 6, 1941, in Aleppo, Syria, she later made her home in New Jersey.

A woman of gentle spirit and loving heart, Nadia touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness. She had a deep affection for red roses, which reflected her vibrant personality, and found great joy in knitting. She created beautiful pieces for friends and family, approaching her craft with the pride of a businesswoman when they insisted on paying for her thoughtful work.

Nadia shared a special bond with her family, particularly adoring her nephew Richard Rosario and loving his wife, Macarena, as her own niece. She also found happiness at the Diamond Years Adult Day Care Center in Haledon, where she formed many friendships and embraced each day with enthusiasm, rarely missing a day even for a doctor’s appointment. Her laughter and kindness will be deeply missed by her friends and caregivers there.

She is survived by her loving and devoted sister, Louris Rosario, and brother-in-law, Carmelo Rosario. Nadia was preceded in death by her parents, Fathallah and Samieh Haeik (nee Karme), and her siblings, George Haeik, Edmond Haeik, Tony Haeik, and Antoinette Haeik de Baladi.
