Murl Elven Fleck

Murl Elven Fleck, age 94 of Braham, passed away peacefully at his home on March 8, 2026. Born on April 19, 1931 in Hillman, Minnesota to Fred and Mary (Westphall) Fleck, Murl owned and operated Fleck’s Drywall for many years. He found great joy in fishing, hunting, camping, and traveling, and especially cherished quiet days on the lake with his grandsons.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia; sons Randy (Dianna) Fleck and Timothy (June) Fleck; daughters Sheila (Jeff) Oldenburg and Michelle (Brian) Gamble; step-children Scott Putratz and Amelia (Paul) Briegl; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; his sister Mildred Carson; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Murl was preceded in death by his parents; son Ronald; daughter Kristine Campbell; and siblings Orval, Richard, Samuel, Lucille, Jackson, Lavera Gadacz, Harold, Lester, Leslie, and Pearl Reynolds.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the St. Croix Hospice team for the compassionate care they provided Murl in his final days.
