Miriam Cartee ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Benson Funeral Home - Dallas on Mar. 17, 2026.Mrs. Miriam "Mimi" Cartee, age 84, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Erlanger Western Carolina Hospital in Murphy, North Carolina.Mimi was born on May 21, 1941 in Athens, Georgia to Mr. Harold Gordon Fleeman and Mrs. Miriam O'Kelly Fleeman. She worked as a teacher for the Paulding County School District for many years. She was a faithful member of the Dallas First Baptist Church. Mimi was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Arthur Cleetus Cartee, Sr.; sister and brother-in-law, Anne Benson (Eugene).Mimi is survived by her son Art (Gloria) Cartee; grandchildren, Christian Cartee and Isaac Cartee; several nieces and nieces; other extended family and friends.Funeral Services for Mrs. Mimi Cartee will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 3 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home with Rev. Don Rackley officiating. Interment will follow at Dallas Memory Gardens.Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026 from 1 P.M. until the time of the service at 3 P.M.To honor the memory of Miriam Cartee, the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Dallas First Baptist Church Backpack Program.Benson Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Miriam "Mimi" Cartee.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
