Mrs. Mattie L. Walker

Mrs. Mattie L. Walker, 85, of Radcliff, Kentucky, died on March 11, 2026, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law.

Baptized at St. Chapter Primitive Baptist Church in Browns, Alabama, Mattie later attended Spring Hill Baptist Church in Clarkesville, Tennessee, throughout her adult life. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose quiet strength and deep faith guided her family for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Walker; her son, Eugene L. Walker; her eldest daughter, Legia Robinson; her first grandchild, Tanisha Wilbourn; and her siblings, Jasper Anderson, Arthur Anderson, Lindsey Anderson, and Rosetta Nix.

Mattie is survived by her daughters, Linda (Kevin) Russell and Lori Walker; grandchildren, Marcus (Ryessia) Russell, Stephanie Russell, and Alyssa Walker; great-grandchildren, Jarrell Russell, Aeden Russell, Olivia Russell, and Delilah Russell; her sisters, Eugenia (George) Austin of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Dorothy Smith of Birmingham, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and her longtime friend Judy Harris.
