She spent many years working at Farah and later with Ysleta ISD, where she built lifelong friendships and touched the lives of many.Maria E. Nieto was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Nieto Sr. her parents, Francisco and Genoveva Valles; and her brother, Francisco "Beto" Valles.She is survived by her daughter, Lorena Nieto Velasquez (Joe); her sons, Carlos Nieto Jr. (Sylvia) and Luis Nieto (Isa); her sister, Felipa Guzman; and her brother, Alfredo Valles. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Danniela, Carlos, and Ava, as well as many nephews, nieces, and dear friends who will cherish her memory.Visitation for Mrs. Nieto will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with the Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home–East.Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.Pallbearers will be Carlos Nieto Jr., Luis Nieto, Carlos L. Nieto, David R.
