Mrs. Maria de Jesus McCaskill

Maria McCaskill, born on December 26, 1958, to Josefina and Inocencio Garibay, passed away on March 6, 2026. She is survived by her siblings Alfredo Garibay, Teofilo Garibay, Inocencio Garibay Jr., Trinidad Rodriguez, and Aurora Garibay Garcia. She was preceded in death by her siblings Ramon Garibay, Guadalupe Garibay Garcia, and Juan Garibay.

Maria was a proud and loving mother to seven children: Rosalva Galvan, Rose Mary McCaskill, Archie McCaskill Jr., Francisco Garibay, Jennifer Tapia, and Isaura Ivette Cruz. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Tapia Quinones. She was also a cherished grandmother to 24 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 22 great-grandchildren. Her family brought her immense joy and pride throughout her life.

Maria had a vibrant and joyful spirit. She enjoyed dancing, singing, fishing, arts and crafts, and playing bingo, but most of all she cherished spending time with her family. Her laughter, warmth, and lively personality brightened every gathering. Family and friends will always remember her deep love of music and her favorite phrase that captured her fun-loving passion for dancing: “Cumbia o me voy.”

Maria will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her spirit, love, and cherished memories will forever live in their hearts.
