Sampica, 70, of Chateaugay died Monday, March 9, 2026, at The Alice Center with her sister, Brenda by her side.Born on August 12, 1955, in Burke, NY, she was the daughter of Wayne and Mayfred (St. Denis) Chatelle.She was married to John Sampica on September 21, 1974.Lois worked as a caregiver most of her life. She enjoyed reading, shopping, crocheting and listening to country music. She had a special bond with kids and loved spending time with her grandbabies, nieces and nephews.She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Thomas) Cook; son, Jamie (Natalie Campbell) Sampica; grandchildren, Christopher Cluff, Morgan (Dereck) Patterson, Peyton (Belle Gogolen) Cook, Taylor Sampica, and Alexa Sampica; two great-grandchildren, Oaklynn Patterson and Bennett Cook; sisters, Carol Harrigan, Brenda (Patrick) Blair, Anne (James) Pashow as well as several nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Thomas in infancy, Edwin and Lawrence Chatelle; sisters, Patricia Haskel and Gail Chatelle.A celebration of Lois' life will be held at the Chateaugay American Legion on Tuesday, March 24 beginning at 3 p.m.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
