Smith, 80, of the Goodsprings community, will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Duncan Cemetery with Rev. Mike Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home.The family will receive friends before the service at the cemetery.Mrs. Smith passed away March 4, 2026, in Henderson. She was born January 22, 1946, in Upshur County, Texas to James and Melba (Price) Hogue and spent most of her life as a homemaker in the Goodsprings community.Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, James and Melba Hogue; husband, Lewis Smith; sister, Judy Ann Holt; and great niece, Megan Deason.Survivors include her brothers, Larry Hogue of Splendora, Danny Hogue and wife Monica of Carrollton; brother-in-law, James Holt of Marshall; nieces and nephews and their spouses, Chris Deason and Buffie of Jacksonville, Shannon Deason and Nicole Hurry of Central, LA, Taylor Hogue of Grapevine, Mallory Tipton and Travis of Rowlett; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, other family, and friends.Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.crawfordacrim.com.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
