Juanita Scales ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home on Mar. 14, 2026.Juanita Bell Scales, 79, passed away on March 13, 2026, in Lufkin, Texas.She was born on April 27, 1946, in Jacksonville, Texas to Searcy and Essie Mae Bell.She is preceded in death by husband Eugene Scales and Mother Essie Mae Gentry.She is survived by son Buddy and spouse Nikki Scales of Tyler, TX, son Ricky and spouse Christal Scales of Rusk, Texas, daughter Gena and spouse Bobby Adams of Lufkin, Texas, son Michael Hicks of Rusk, Texas, sister Frances Trotter of Rusk, Texas, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.The family would like to extend their gratitude to nurse Jennifer Thomason for the love and care she provided for Mrs. Scales.A time of visitation will be held in the Chapel of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk, Texas on Monday March 16, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery on Tuesday March 17, 2026, at 2 p.m.Pallbearers are Kelly Scales, Ricky Scales Jr., Josiah Scales, Calab Morse, Chase Kennedy, and Dylan Ayers.Honorary Pallbearers are Randy Scales, Skylar Adams, Arb Bolton, Kenny Wayne Trotter, Wayne Hubka, Joshua Scales, and John Hubka.Pastor Paul Gates officiating.Services are under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
