December 12, 1939— March 5, 2026
Lowell, MA
Guadalupe Santos, 86, of Lowell, passed away peacefully after a brief illness. Born in Puerto Rico on December 12, 1939, to Felix Santos and Brigida Rodriguez, she was educated there and raised her family on the island. She met and married Julio Hernandez, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage. Fourteen years ago, Guadalupe and Julio moved to the mainland United States and settled in Lowell.
Guadalupe was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in keeping her home tidy and welcoming, always filled with family and friends. In her younger years she enjoyed soap operas, and throughout her life she found joy in cooking, celebrating holidays, listening to Spanish music, and dancing. She remained deeply connected to her faith, attending church regularly, and was an avid viewer of the Spanish channel.
She is survived by her husband, Julio Hernandez; her daughter, Carmen Ruiz, and sons Luis Ruiz and Augustine Ruiz, all of Lowell; her grandchildren Jose Luis, Alex, Elizabeth, Germaine, Luis, Amaury, and Jennifer; her great-grandchildren Charlie, Xavier, Eliezer, Luis, Jedriel, Jayden, Julian, Jacob, Leanny, Aceson, Geriam, Eric, Ethan, Luca, and Mason; and her sister, Benedicta Santos.
