Mrs. Dianne Parker Parker

Mrs. Dianne Parker Parker

March 6, 1951 March 12, 2026

Lineville, AL

Dianne Marie Parker, 75, of Lineville, Alabama, passed away peacefully from ALS on the morning of March 12, 2026, at the Hospice Care Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Born on March 6, 1951, in Lineville, she was the fifth child of the late Joseph Walker McGraw and Myrtice Marie McGraw (Lashley). She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Dorothy “Dot” McGraw Lancaster, and her brothers Leonard Pearce McGraw, Joe Neal McGraw, and James Walker McGraw.

Raised on her family’s farm in Lineville, Dianne learned the values of hard work, family, and faith from an early age. She came to saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as a young girl. In high school she met Charles Lee Parker, whom she married on January 25, 1970, after he proposed by mailing her an engagement ring from his Air Force station in Scottsdale, Arizona. The couple shared many adventures together in Arizona before returning to Alabama and later settling in Georgia.

Dianne became a devoted mother with the births of her son, Brian Lee Parker, on August 30, 1974, and her daughter, Lisa Marie Parker, on July 23, 1976. She cherished her role as “Nana,” welcoming granddaughter Haley Peshera Parker in April 1999, granddaughter Ashley Marie Parker on her own 50th birthday, and becoming a great-grandmother in March 2024 with the arrival of great-grandson Rowan Cole Caldwell. She worked as a county assistant in Lineville, an executive assistant at Porter-Cable, and a senior executive administrative assistant at Chick-fil-A, yet she always considered being Nana her favorite role. A woman of quiet strength and deep faith, Dianne was a longtime member of Jonesboro First Baptist Church, Henry Baptist Church, and Heatherwood Baptist Church. She loved tending her garden and the iris plants passed down from her mother, and she remained active by walking many miles through her neighborhood with friends.

Dianne is survived by her husband of 56 years, Charles Lee Parker; her son, Brian Lee Parker, and his wife, Stephanie Peshera Parker (Goss); her daughter, Lisa Marie Parker; granddaughters Haley Peshera Caldwell (Parker) and her husband, Conner Seth Caldwell, and Ashley Marie Robertson (Parker) and her husband, Nathan Douglas Robertson; and great-grandson Rowan Cole Caldwell. She will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her deep love for her family, and the gentle joy she brought to everyone as Nana.
