Hazen, by her side. Clara (Thomas) Hazen was born August 21st, 1933, in Live Oak to B.T. and Susie (Hines) Thomas and grew up alongside her siblings, sister Eloise Dodd, brother D.L. Thomas, and Alma T. Outlaw in Starke, FL.Prior to retirement she worked as a Teacher Aide for the Bradford County School Board, where her compassion and commitment to education profoundly impacted the lives of countless students. Her dedication did not end in the classroom; Clara was also an active member of the First Baptist Church of Starke and was a member of the Starke Women's Club, contributing to her community in numerous ways.Clara is survived by her cherished husband of 73 years, Jack Hazen; her loving daughters, Stella Joyner of McDonald, Tennessee, Kitty (Rick) Richardson of Lake Butler, Ruth (Harold) Davis of Brooker; and her son Jack (Linda) Hazen, Jr. of Lake City. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion in the form of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren who loving called her "G Mother": grandchildren: Jennifer (Jesse) Bragdon, Stephanie Register, Eric (Christina) Richardson, Jim Richardson, Stephanie Hazen, Daniel (Alexis) Hazen, Rachael (Aaron) Barber, Randy Joyner, Susanne (Shane) Garland, Matthew (Katy) Joyner, Lindsey (Dustin) Cross, Wayne (Kelli) Davis, and Jason (Pam) Davis; great grandchildren; Jordan Davis, Whip Davis, Riggs Davis, Tripp Davis, Jaycee Davis, Jack Hazen, William Hazen, Harper Hazen, Hollis Hazen, Arch Barber, Amos Barber, Jax Register, Callen Bragdon, Lane Bragdon, Olivia Joyner, Graham Joyner, Connor Joyner, Lanie Joyner, Ashton (Haley) Garland, Taylor Garland, Nathan Garland, Jack Joyner, Julianne Joyner, Jones Joyner, Emma (Malachi) Simpson, Garrett Cross along with great-great grandchildren, Leon Garland, Lola Garland and Sadie Mae Garland.A Funeral Service in honor of Clara's life will be held at the First Baptist Church in Starke on March 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM. A Private Graveside Service will precede the funeral on March 18, 2026, at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.Clara Geneva Hazen will be remembered for her unwavering love, selflessness, and commitment to her family and community.
