Kimble Mortuary & Cremation on Feb. 25, 2026.Mrs. Christine Hancock was born on September 28, 1940, in Colt, Arkansas, to Carmen Haggans and Andrew Walker. At an early age, she was lovingly adopted by David and Lydia Gray, also of Colt, Arkansas, where she was raised in a home filled with love and strong family values. Through this union, she gained three devoted siblings, Mae Bell Houston, Estella Brown, and Hosea Gray, all of whom preceded her in death.Christine was blessed with a host of nieces and nephews who held special places in her heart, including Barbara Brown (d), Lena Hutchins, Larry Houston, Nate Houston, Archie Davis, and Herman Davis (d). In her adult years, she was further blessed with three additional siblings.On January 12, 1959, Christine united in holy matrimony with the love of her life, Joy Lee Hancock. Their union was rooted in devotion, faith, and enduring love, and they remained faithfully committed to one another throughout her lifetime. From this beautiful union, nine children were born, each dearly loved and nurtured by her guiding hand.Five of her children preceded her in death: two precious infants, Darlene and Ivory; and three beloved sons, Joy Lee Hancock, Jr., Reginald Hancock, and Frederick Hancock. She was also preceded in death by her bonus daughter, Veronica Tyler, and three grandchildren, Justin Williams, Reggie Hancock, Jr., and Keisha Hancock.Christine dedicated her life to her home as a devoted wife and mother. She found joy in caring for her family, ensuring that her household was grounded in love, discipline, and faith. Her belief in God was the foundation of her life. She was a faithful member of Greater Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully in the choir. She especially loved leading two of her favorite songs, "In Times Like These" and "Oh, Won't He Keep You."She cherished her daily telephone conversations with friends, many of whom preceded her in death, maintaining those lifelong bonds with warmth and loyalty. Among her cherished living friends are Lou Marie McDaniel, Dethenia Miller, and Mae Dean Wilson. Christine also enjoyed cheering for her beloved Dallas Cowboys.She leaves to cherish her precious memories her devoted husband, Joy Lee Hancock; her loving children: Marilyn Warmack of Garland, Texas; Joyce (Bob) Maiersperger of Wylie, Texas; Carol (Carl) Williams of Forrest City, Arkansas; and Deshmund (Angela) Hancock of Jacksonville, Florida; along with her special sons: Wayne Hancock of Colt, Arkansas; Gerald Tyler of Rockford, Illinois; and Dwight Smith of Forrest City, Arkansas; and bonus daughters: Ann Hamilton, Jackie Hancock, and Clarice Hancock. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Wayne Hancock, Adria Warmack Smith, Stefanie Hancock, Chelsey Hancock, Joseph Williams, Demareus Hancock, Amariya Hancock, Joy Lee Hancock III, Jared Hancock, Miriam Hancock, Tony White, Nicole Gupton, Treyvon Tyler, and Tyrell Tyler.She was further blessed with great-grandchildren: Andre Hancock, Corbin Hester, Chandan Hester, Hasen Hester, Mingell Ballard, Camden Hancock, Kahlani Hancock, Leilani Hancock, Amir Hancock, Ace Hancock, Adrian Hancock, Serinty Hancock, Jayden Hancock, Joi Hancock, Emori Hancock, Tyrell Tyler, Jr., and Yassir Tyler, along with a host of additional bonus grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also cherished her loving aunt, Josephine Drake, who remains among those honoring her memory. Additionally, she leaves several cherished in-laws, cousins, and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.Mrs. Christine Hancock's life was marked by devotion, gentleness, strength, and steadfast love. Her presence was a blessing, her faith unwavering, and her legacy enduring.
