Davis, husband of Patricia (Scott) Davis, passed away at the West Newton Healthcare Center in Newton on Thursday, February 26, 2026. He was 77 years old.Born in Mobile, Alabama, he was the beolved son of the late Ernest and Lucinda Davis. Willie was a US Navy veteran, entering the military at Mobile, Alabama on December 2, 1968 and received his Honorable discharge from the Naval Reserve Center in Bainbridge, Maryland on December 1, 1970. Willie was awarded the National Defense Service Medal for his exemplary service.In civilian life, Willie was a Boston Firefighter, a job that he loved for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fixing cards and was a very fashionable dressing man. He will be dearly missed.Besides his wife, Patricia, Willie is survived by his sons; James P. Davis of Boston and Dwayne Davis of Boston, grandchildren; Natish, Latora and Daisha and three great-grandchildren. Willie was also the father of the late Demetrius L. Davis.Willie's graveside service was held in the VA National Cemetery in Bourne on Friday, March 13, 2026 with military and Boston Firefighters honors.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
