High Point, NC

Tony Brian Garrison, 55, of High Point, North Carolina, passed away on March 12, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital after a courageous five-year battle with cancer. Born in High Point on November 12, 1970, he was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Mayfield.

Tony spent more than 30 years at Thomas Built Buses, where his dedication, hard work, and perseverance earned him the respect of those around him. He found joy in DJing for gatherings, grilling for family and friends, gaming, watching good television and movies, following sports, and hosting lively Sunday football get-togethers. A lifelong Miami Dolphins fan, he cherished a meaningful final trip to Miami that brought him happiness and connection to the team he loved.

Those who knew Tony remembered his steady, lighthearted spirit and his gift for keeping others smiling, even in difficult times. His humor and warm personality left a lasting impression on everyone around him. Above all, he cherished his family and loved them deeply.

He is survived by his mother, Aquilla Garrison; brothers Nicholas Garrison (Sasha), Jarris Mayfield, Rico Little, Marcus Mayfield, and Dominique Davis; children Myia Wall, Jaquel Horne, Tony Horne, and Imani Quick; beloved granddaughter Janyia Wall; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives were touched by his presence. His love, guidance, and strength will remain in their hearts always.
