Mr. Samuel Newton Buffington

Samuel Newton Buffington, age 50, of Commerce, Georgia, passed away on March 15, 2026, at his residence. Born in Riverdale to Carol Ann Harmon Buffington of Commerce and the late Michael Newton Buffington, he was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Commerce and worked as a sales representative with Rick's Camero.

Sam was preceded in death by his father and his daughter, Alyssa Shea Buffington. He is survived by his mother, Carol Ann Harmon Buffington, and his sister, Michele Wood, both of Commerce.

A graveside service will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, March 22, at Alta Vista Cemetery, with Rev. Wayne Brown officiating.
