Ivey, age 90, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Wellstar Paulding Hospital.Mr. Ivey, was born February 22, 1936 in Birmingham, Alabama. He is married to Mrs. Bonnie Barnes Ivey. Mr. Ivey was a mechanic for Bowman Trucking. He also did many other jobs. He loved working in his garden. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to many.He was preceded in death by: His Parents; Brother, Mr. Willie and Sister, Pat.He is survived by: Wife, Mrs. Bonnie Ivey; Son, Mr. Christopher Leon Ivey; Daughter, Bonnie Chastain; Grandchildren, Timothy Shone McDonald, Thomas Nicholas Nicholas McDonald, Lyric Gordon, Kayla Herron (Jason), Kara Sutton, Kaycee Fore (Jason); Great Grandchildren, Peyton McDonald, Andrew McDonald, Landon Porreto, Jake McDonald, Ryan Sutton, Cheyenne Herron, Cooper Sutton, Sophia Fore, Josie Fore, Adalee Herron; Sisters, Mable Adams and Pearl Schultz; Nieces and Nephews.Funeral Services for Mr. Leon Ivey will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2026, 1:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home.
