Kim Clifton ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Graniteville on Mar. 5, 2026.Mr. Kim Franklin Clifton, 72, of North Augusta, SC, beloved husband of forty-two years to Elaine Booker Clifton, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, following a brave and courageous battle with cancer.Born in West Point, GA, a son of the late Lum and Lavonia Cook Clifton, he was a graduate of Lanett High School, Lanett, AL. Soon after graduating from Lanett High School, he enlisted in the United States Army. He proudly and with honor served his country retiring after twenty years of service earning the Staff Sergeant. His career in the Army took the family to various duty stations.Following his retirement from the Army, he began his career as a Truck Driver. He drove from both Mansfield Oil and BP.In 1992, the family laid down roots in the CSRA. Kim, a man of deep-rooted faith and love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was a member of the Langley Bible Church. Kim was kind and was the true definition of a "family man", always making sure that the needs of his family were met.Kim was involved and was an avid supporter of the Ronald McDonald House. Two of his Grandchildren Joshua B. Blackwell and Leighton C. Blackwell were born premature. Ronald McDonald House in Birmingham, AL took excellent care of Kim's Grandchildren in 1997 & 1998. He enjoyed living the RV life, fishing, being outdoors, fellowshipping with his brothers and sisters in Christ at church at the weekly breakfast gatherings. However, nothing made him any happier than time spent with his family, especially his grands and great grands. Now let us not forget his love and devotion to his beloved Alabama Crimson Tide. Roll Tide!Along with his wife, Kim is loved and will be missed dearly by his children, Keith Booker, Michael Howard, Brian Clifton, Kimberly (Kenneth Blackwell) Howard, Scott Clifton and Angel Howard, siblings, Tommy (Peggy) Clifton, Ricky Oliver, Faye Oliver Rogers and Jane Oliver White, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Also preceding him in death was a brother, Oneal Oliver.The family will greet friends on Saturday, March 14, 2026, beginning at 1 o'clock at the Langley Bible Church, Langley, SC, with a Celebration of Life following at 2 o'clock at the church. Pastors Gene Brown and Tommy Clifton will officiate.Memorials in memory of Kim should be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
