Mr. Joseph Rickey Lonon

Joseph Rickey Lonon was born on May 20, 1970, to Rose Marie Lonon in Savannah, Georgia. He departed this life on March 1, 2026.

A native of Savannah, Rickey was raised in the Cann Park neighborhood and attended the Chatham County Public School System. He held especially fond memories of walking with his grandfather, Jessie Joseph Lonon, and their German Shepherd dogs. Preceded in death by his mother, Rose Marie Lonon, his grandfather Jessie Joseph Lonon, and his grandmother Josephine Marie Lonon, Rickey was known for his warm spirit and generous heart. He enjoyed hosting cookouts for family and friends, was always ready to lend a helping hand to neighbors, and took great pride in his landscaping work, which beautified the community around him. He also had a deep love for cooking and shared his dishes with others at several restaurants in Savannah.

On August 3, 2025, Rickey was baptized at Jonesville Baptist Church of the P.A.W. under the pastoral leadership of Bishop James G. Rogers.

Rickey leaves to cherish his memory his loved ones Jessie Joseph Lonon, Mrs. Renee, Garvin Johnson, JoAnn Norris (Marke), and his special friends Arthur Lee Thompson and Kimberly Deloach, along with a host of other relatives and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
