Jackie Copeland ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Davenport Funeral Home, Inc. - Walhalla/West Union on Mar. 17, 2026.Jackie Copeland of Seneca, SC died Sunday, March 15th, 2026 at Cottingham Hospice House, at the age of 83 due to kidney failure and cancer.Jackie was born in Williamston, SC and graduated from Palmetto High School in 1960. He joined the National Guard that same year and served until he was Honorably Discharged in 1968. Jackie married Linda Patterson in 1961, and in 1970, they moved to Seneca, where Jackie began working at Oconee Nuclear Station. He worked in Maintenance and as a Planning and Scheduling Supervisor until his retirement in 1996.After his retirement, Jackie and his wife, Linda, traveled the world visiting 6 continents and all 50 states. They especially enjoyed traveling with their grandchildren and taking Senior Adult groups on trips. Jackie loved going to church and spending time with his family.Jackie is survived by his wife of 64 years, Linda Patterson Copeland of Seneca; brother: Ronnie (Susan) Copeland of Iva; son: Tim (Nancy) Copeland of Westminster; and daughter: Susan (Eric) Speed of Williamston. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren: Ashley Copeland of Austin TX, Lauren Copeland (Price Ratliff) of Savannah GA, their mother Anna Copeland of Westminster, and Lauren (Barry) Vaughn of Pickens SC.He was predeceased by his parents: Vadie and Joe Copeland; and sister Judy (Charles) Black.At Jackie's request, there will be no funeral service.
